How this table is calculated

A biweekly schedule pays every 14 days, producing 26 paychecks a year. Since 26 doesn’t divide evenly into 12 months, exactly two months absorb a third pay date. For each payday weekday, this table generates the 26 pay dates for both possible 2026phases of that weekday’s cycle, groups them by calendar month, and reports any month containing 3 dates.

This is the same computation as the Three-Paycheck Month Finder above, run for every common payday weekday instead of a single date you’d otherwise have to enter.

Covers biweekly (every 14 days) pay schedules only. Semi-monthly, weekly, and monthly pay follow different patterns and don’t produce three-paycheck months in the same way. Employers that shift pay dates around weekends or holidays may land a paycheck a day or two off from the dates shown here — check your own pay stub history to confirm.

Frequently asked questions

What are the three-paycheck months in 2026?

Every biweekly pay schedule has exactly two three-paycheck months in 2026 — which two depends on the weekday you're paid and which week your cycle lands on. Match your payday weekday in the table above to find your two months.

Why isn't there one answer for everyone?

Biweekly pay dates repeat every 14 days, and each employer's cycle starts on a different date. A schedule paid on Fridays that started the cycle one week earlier than another Friday-paid schedule ends up with different three-paycheck months, even though both are biweekly.

How is this table calculated?

For each payday weekday, the table generates 26 pay dates 14 days apart starting from that weekday's first two possible dates in 2026, groups them by calendar month, and flags any month with 3 dates. It's the same date math used by the Three-Paycheck Month Finder above.

What if my exact payday doesn't match either date shown for my weekday?

You're still on one of the two schedules shown — just further along or behind in the 14-day cycle. Enter your own paycheck date into the Three-Paycheck Month Finder above for your exact calendar and dollar totals.
